So here are some of my favorite pictures from my first camp
I was so scared to come to camp! I was thinking of every reason under the sun not to go and kept considering cancelling, but I am so glad that I went. I had a bit of an unfortunate fall on XC a couple of weeks before which didn't really help my confidence but my boy looked after me so well the whole time and we both had loads of fun. So different from a few years back when we had a total confidence crisis together and could barely come out of a walk. I met lots of lovely new people too. Thanks for all of your advice on my last thread. I stayed on a camp bed in my little box and all was fine except a bit cold so I think I will bring a heater next time!
I have only been back to jumping for a year since a 10 year break from doing any and I had always built Somerford up as this really scary and inaccessible place that you could only come to if you were really good. I also suffer from social anxiety, but I took the bull by the horns and confronted it and you know what? Now I really can't wait to go back!
If anyone is thinking of coming on a camp but isn't sure, you should definitely do it because it's a great experience.
Thank you so much to all the camp organizers. You did a fantastic job!
