For well over a year I ve had to wait to get a horse now the time has come others like my sister and friend don’t seem to want me to have one all of my own, feel like I’m being controlled and it’s getting me so down
People can only change your behaviour if you let them… sounds toxic to me. Get the horse you want and dont let your sister or her friends anywhere near it, would be my advice

Agree with the others that if you can afford to go it alone. Perhaps choose a yard that offers services as and when needed so that you do have help when you need it. My sister and I shared the first horse I ever bought but we have quite different opinions on most aspects of horse ownership/training and we did almost fall out over it as I actually owned the horse I wanted to do things my way. She got her own in the end ?

What has it got to do with them? You're an adult. If you want a horse, you get a horse and you get the one you want. Keep it where you like and enjoy it.

100% agree with the rest. Buy the horse alone, if your sister wants to share then if it suits you fine, but it is your horse.

Remember that when owning horses we have to make decisions about their care all the time. I would hate owning with someone else, there would just be too much potential for conflict.
