Can anyone afford to keep a horse anymore?

I lost mine in Jan and it was getting difficult then on DIY in the West, so much cheaper by comparison to other areas of the UK. I've since bought a house so I've not looked for another since (partly because I'm not ready though). I have days where I gut wrenchingly miss it but have managed to fill my summer with other outdoor activities to keep me occupied for much less money, will see how I fare over winter, might treat myself to some riding school lessons to keep my hand in.

I'm not sure I understand the justification for a 50% increase in the cost of Graze-on grass pellets from Northern Crop Growers since I last bought 2 months ago?

might it be this years crop? would have cost a lot more in fuel etc to produce than last year.

I’ve made several cut backs because my feed, hay and bedding have all gone up. I’ve only a few more competitions to see out the year and then I’ll be taking a back seat until 2023 and planning where I go carefully.
