Can mushrooms eat horses?

Ooh 'eck!! No, I did mean can horses eat 'shrooms - sorry, on the sherry tonight for "hump day" :D:D:D:D one too many p'raps....:D:D:D:D

Only... there was some in the paddock this morning amongst the mist (in a valley y'see) when I went to check on the boys and when I got back they'd either been eaten or they'd evaporated (can they evaporate?) so I thought I'd ask the collection of experts we have accumulated on HHO... just in case I ought to watch out the window for "behavioural issues" from the neds.
