After the 3rd time a rescue let us down and then didn't return messages we gave up and went puppy hunting. We wanted a rescue collie / lab and then find a large breed puppy in spring . So we found a st. Weiler near us, so here is Dylan a rottweiler x st Bernard (st Weiler) aged 8wee

On phone sorry for any grammar mistakes.

He's gonna be a big boy and we will resume rescue search in April/may.

he looks very squeezable! wait til he grows and boy he will! he wont fit on your lap then!! but very lovely and cute. any more pictures of the chunky boy?

Well...HELLO HANDSOME! :p

I'm another one who wants to see what he looks like as he grows up, lots of photos please! Don't know either breed particularly well, but I'm guessing you're going to have your work cut out there! For starters, how on earth are you going to be able to say NO to that face?!! I'm going all gooey just looking at him :p :D

Gorgeous.

Both those breeds can have issues with hips, being large and weightbearing, hopefully the parents both had good hipscores, but either way, please don't overdo the exercise - keep him on the ground, even watch him and avoid too much jumping in and out of the car/on and off the sofa, up and down the stairs, until at least 12 months x

I googled the breed seem to be popular in usa. His sisters were black and tan like rotty mum and him and his brother were black and fluffy, he was fluffier that's why we picked him. Found one pic of a black one on Google- very large fluffy black lab lookalike

that's a big tennis.ball

I don't mean to nitpick and it does look like a very sweet puppy, but it is not a breed!! it is a cross breed just like my lab x dalmation, and just like the collie x lab you're also after. Good luck with him, I think you'll need it from what I know of either of the breeds! Some good advise above regarding hips and jumping/climbing. xx

Ditto the advice re hips. Looks like he is going to throw more to the rottie side from those pics, will be fascinating to see how he grows up, lots of pics please.
Does he dribble yet ? ;)

Sorry didn't mean to offend. He's a cross but like many crosses has acquired a hybrid name. My partner has had a bermese and a oes before as puppies so not his first big breed. Close friend has st bernards. Dad was hipscored and mum wasnt but looked well and wasn't a v big rotty. I know I will be slated for that. I do understand ur concerns x

Ah if mum is a small rottie that explains it, I was a bit puzzled as in those pics he doesn't look to be as big as an 8 week old GSD pup. Good luck with the rescue search, have you tried Many Tears, they seem to have a lot of collie x types on their site that they have brought over from Ireland.

Wow, i'd start removing any ornaments you have now! lol

He looks adorable but what a x  My hoover is having a cold sweat just looking at him :D
We have no ornaments the ones we have are wooden (oh carpenter) and breakable things are upstairs. He will only live downstairs, personally I'm mean and think you should have Dog free zone, the hoover coped with the oes so here's hoping :)

Got loads of these mutts in rescues over here a few years ago. All of them had bad hips, backs and serious stomach problems. They tended to have eye issues too.

Good luck.

awww he is gorgeous! My OH wanted a big breed like that but with having one large dog already I just don't think we have the room. He is super cute though- what a lovely face.
