I have a fal pro rug which is one of the best fitting rugs I have. It’s a 0gm and just wont be waterproof anymore.

I’ve had it washed and proofed and even applied Fabsil 3 times but it still soaks up water.

Anything else I can try?:(

Time to buy a new one unfortunately.
agreed
I find they last longest if you don't send them off to be washed. it seems to be pretty hard on the fabric. i just scrub the insides clean myself and rinse off the worst of the outside, and my turnouts are all ancient and watertight.

I find that once they have been professionally washed they aren’t the same? I don’t send my rugs to be washed (shock horror) but ones I have bought second hand that have been “washed and reproofed” don’t seem to be as effective imo.

Same here.

Don't wash them if you want them to last - especially the lightweights.

I gently jet wash and get on my hands an knees to scrub the grease out of the inside but try to do as little as possible to the outside

I've fallen out of love with no fills due to the waterproofing giving up - even when they haven't been near a cleaner.

Big Horse , Shires and Ruggles all seen the skip

They definitely seem to remain waterproof far longer if you don’t have them professionally cleaned. I just lay mine out on the grass & wash the inside with warm water with some horse shampoo in it and just brush the mud off the outside.
