Can't stop thinking about this horse....

I can't see anything other than the profile pic and "send friend request to see what she shares", which is wierd for a dealer!!
 
He looks nice enough, but something niggles me about an 11 year old like that being sold by a dealer. :confused:

ETA that's probably just me being over cautious, but I tend to think of dealers buying younger horses, bringing them on for a short while and selling them on. I would wonder why he's ended up there myself. Be very careful. xx

If you can afford it and keep it then keep thinking about it and book an appointment. If you cant then why are you looking, lol :p

Looks nice, neck looks a bit wierd but mos likely the photo! I would get it vetted.

I honestly don't know, something different. I just can't stop thinking about him and wonder if it is because he reminds me of my first horse.

A ridiculous idea perhaps but wanted opinions. :)
 
He looks lovely, I would get him vetted, but then I vet everything. I don't find it suspicious that's he's being sold by a dealer, horses have no say in where they end up, maybe hisprev owner had no money and needed a quick sale :)
 
I'm not technical by any means but the 1st link worked for me, I think. I just clicked on profile pic & several dif horses appeared. If it's the bay being ridden by the person in stripey top, it's very nice. The horse, not the stripey top:D The housemate link worked too. Good little Kindle. I have friends who paid £5000 for a very similar ISH & he is green
 
Interesting wording on the ad - necessary care -

Big horse, done a fair bit, passed onto a dealer and cheap.

My guess would be soundness and/or temperament problems. Still worth a look if you are a confident buyer. If you buy it, even cheaply I would have some blood off it.

I may be reading it wrongly but I think AM may have been kindly suggesting that as a heavier rider I might not be the right person for this horse. It is a fair consideration and one that I had messaged the seller about. She seemed to think he would be fine but then she would I guess :o

It was a concern of mine, as it is every time I consider a horse so it was a fair comment and kindly put. The weight is coming off, 4 pounds this week :). I hope to be back on Olive within the next two weeks if I have another good result!

Pictures can be misleading of course, but the horse looks like it has short cannons and depth through the chest. He does not look weedy, no reason, unless of course he is unsound, that he would not carry weight.

Thanks for that AA, we are talking a rather considerable 16.4 stone currently :) it is going down though and will continue to :p
 
It depends how big he is in real life Billie, I would want no more than 15 stone inc tack on him really...
I would wait untill you reach your goal weight then treat yourself to a new Ned! I mean what a thing to aim for!

As a serial dieter myself I look in terms of buying a dress in the size you strive to be, at first you think its something to aim for, but then when you don't reach that size you get depressed and down, you feel far better getting down first, buying the dress and looking great in it from day 1, then feeling amazing and staying fitting it.
That was long winded wasn't it? You know what I mean :) xx
