I'm trying to trace Captain Pugwash III, cos he's Pipers dad!

I've got one not-very-good picture of him but would like to find out more about him.

A google serch has turned up lots of show results (he seems to win everything!) but not much else. Was rather hoping to find some pictures of him.

From what I can ferret out on google, he's owned by Julie Thornborrow and ridden by Louise Riley. And is possibly somewhere in Lancashire - he competed (and won) at the Ribble Valley Riding Club show this May so presumably fairly local.

This is one of his babies:

h, ive not heard of him unfortunately but ill certainly be keeping an eye out for any fillies by him if he aways throws foals like yours, absolutly stunning cob, how old is he?

captain pugwash is a very prolific show winner and has been in the horse and hound several times. try doing a search on photo site. also if you have found show results, go onto the shows official website and see if they have a photo gallery. also you can do a stallions at stud search. go onto the chaps website and do a stallion search its bound to come up

I love the internet - make it a very small world

No, I don't own his mum, Megan - I bought him at 15months from a lady in Ayrshire. She apparently bought her in-foal from Preston (I think she said). She tried to put Megan back in foal to a really nice coloured warmblood but she just wouldn't take. Megan has since been sold to be a happy hacker and her owners bought a very nice HW show cob mare.

Is Pugs still a stallion? Is he still at stud? I tried to find a webite or similar for him but couldn't find anything

Also, how big is Pugs? Piper is meant to make 15hh ish and mega was 15hh ish and still growing when I saw her (covered as 3yr old I think).

What's Pugs like, temerament wise? Piper is very low in the social pecking order and is THE least bulshy horse ever - it would never cross his mind to be cheeky or pushy. Loves his friends and gets on well with everything and anything (apart from sheep - he hates sheep) but i always at the bottom of the pecking order whereever he goes.

I've seen him tonight at the Myrescough Stallion Parade absolutly devine and he can certainly pop a jump..so since he was there I'd guess he is still a stallion

He is 146cm and is chaps graded all this is off the catalogue..but he looks a lovely boy and looks fun...But I don't envy his owner with all his feathers/mane/tail..

yeh pug still a stallion. he got his life height certificate last year at 146cms. he might not be tall but he is wide, needs a 6ft 6" rug! he is not like most stallions, he chilled out and so well behaved, can still turn him out with geldings, even through the covering season. will get my daughter to put sum pics on for you to see him - i am not very good with computers!

he has a stud page on facebook with photos of him and also on my facebook, (captain pugwash stud and result page). there will be some more photos on there soon.
