Hello everybody, Andy & Chloe here
smile.gif

We just got a phone call from Tallavera, giving us a heads up with the updated situation. It is fantastic news that their previous owner has signed them over, and they will now spend the rest of their days in comfort and safety.

It was heart-warming to see the 'before' and 'after' photos - they have both made drastic improvements, and are barely recognisable

At some point we would both like to go and see them and take them some tasty treats - sugar free polos for Spud perhaps, as he looks like he has turned into quite the roly-poly pony

Once again, a huge well done to everybody

Andy & Chroe

a huge Thankyou and Well Done to you for saving these 2, and for not just walking on by and putting them out of your mind, as might have been so easy to do.
they look wonderful now, what a great Happy Ending for them.
Thankyou.

If it had not been for you two heaven knows what would have happened to them in that horrible snow etc. I doubt they would have made it.

So don't be strangers I think you are both wonderful people.

Glad they where able to be saved, could you post the photos on here so we could see the difference?

Andy and Chloe
you absolutely saved those ponies lives. You really did. There is absolutely no way they would have survived for very much longer, especially with the weather we have had.
It was brilliant to see the latest pics of the two of them looking so well, thanks to you two.
Thank you and Big hugs from a grateful horse lover in Scotland. xxxx
ps Be nice to see some pics of you with them when you go to visit.

Andy and Chloe it down to you these ponies have had a happy ending, you didnt turn your backs on them, but brought their plight to the attention of all the other wonderful people who have helped them.

A resounding 3 cheers to all involved with saving Carrot and Spud

Andy & Chloe I am so glad you have returned to the forum so that I can express my admiration for the actions that you took, which undoubtedly saved the lives of these two horses.
In the 'not getting involved' society of today your outstanding compassion for these horses & the efforts you made to get help for them is truly an example which we can only hope others may follow in the future.
Thank you both.

Thank you so much for saving Carrot and Spud, if you had walked on by they would be dead now, but you didn't and look at the result. Your actions have helped to restore my faith in human nature.

Hadn't seen those updated pictures before, I really did not believe they would look that good again. Huge well done to everyone involved, but in particular to you Andy and Chloe, without you these two would not have been saved. So glad they have finally been signed over.

Andy and chloe, you should be very proud of yourselfs for not taking NO for an answer, you most definatly saved the lifes of those two ponies, well done!

Would like to add my thanks to you both for persisting with a soul-destroying situation and not just letting it go. If you go go and see the horses I'm sure we'd all love a picture of you with them!

Yes, we'd love to see a pic of you both with them. I only read the original thread lastnight - all 40 pages of it, and you are definitely the heros in that novel! I was aware of their story on here, but hadn't realised quite how they'd been discovered. How fantastic of you to think of posting on here, despite having been told that the relevant authorities were aware.
