As an update, he’s still at it. Not anywhere near as intense as the morning I posted this thread.
They have been kept separate when someone isn’t here, which to be fair isn’t much. Basil is happy alone so when he’s being a pain I’ve told him off and removed him from the room.
The coming in in the mornings has got so much better. They now all come in and sit for a treat, this is long enough to have broken the bounding in excitedly with Cecil and Spud certainly.
Today is the first day we have to all go to work. Daughter was supposed to be working from home but we have no internet for some reason.
So she said she’d take him to work with her, he’d have to stay in his crate in the car, that in itself not great but also leaves Cecil home alone (having always had Jess dog here that’s never happened before) or having to come with me and I’m working at a yard with the biggest rabbit holes and most rabbits I’ve ever seen so I’m too worried about loosing him.
So I’ve set up a bigger crate in the sitting room and plan to pop Basil in it with Cecil loose (he will just sleep on the sofa) as I’m only going to be gone 10-2 today.
Really hope that works..this is quite stressful ?‍♀️ Although we are making good progress and it’s only been 4 days ?
