Hi all,
I had my new yearling castrated on 31st March, he has had a fair bit of swelling on his sheath but yesterday I saw a significant improvement and this morning it was almost back to normal. The area where they made incisions has swollen a little but I guess this is to be expected?
Now I have left the wound totally alone, just cleaning his back legs from the draining fluid. However, with the glorious weather Im dying to give him an insecticide bath as he is getting quite grubby plus very itchy from all the moulting he is going through.
Would it be too early to do this due to the risk of soapy water getting near the wound area?
Many thanks.
