Not uncommon it seems, I'm in a group where several people have had cat and dog accidents spread quite some distance...

I have no idea what a litter locker is, I’ll have a look thanks.Have you tried a litter locker and a litter tray with flap - even if you remove the flap it’s much better than an uncovered tray. With a good litter (I use cats best and deep litter it) and the litter locker I scoop (!) couple times a day and only have to empty locker about once a week. You don’t have to use the litter locker bags I use just an ordinary bin bag with the empty cartridge. Also that litter is biodegradable and very easy to hoover up as it’s not gritty. I have to make sure the trays are spotless as one of mine will pee outside if he gets a hint of one of the others having used it before him - even though I have 3 trays
That's cute! The dog is really part of the issue though. He really knows hes not allowed upstairs but if off like a rocket every oppertunity and there's not a lot clumsier (or in love with cat poo) than a labrador puppy! We keep our litter trays beside the loo in bathroom and in the downstairs loo - on vinyl flooring which can be disinfected. Scattered litter is just swept or hoovered up.
The best advice our cat breeder gave us was to use World's Best Cat Litter. Not cheap (as it is corn based) but it is totally absorbent, very smell-resistant and you use much less than traditional litters. The very best part is that it is loo flushable - hence the location of the bins.
As we are now at the stage where our elderly cat likes to be very sociable and accompany anyone using the facilities (!) the bin is easily flushed frequently.
Mr P has been given an ultimatum. We have two cats and he won’t allow them out over night so we have to have a litter tray.
It was behind the TV and I had to clean it because he “couldn’t fit round there”
So I moved it to the spare bedroom, he still never cleans it and for some reason one of the cats has started tipping it over. Also Bertie (dog) has found it and has started racing up to eat cat poo
So I’ve told him we need to sort this. I’ve requested a self cleaning one.
I know they have been discussed before and the price is shocking but seriously I’m done with it!
So can anyone reccomend one? They are on offer some places and tbh I’m happy to pay *for him to pay £300 to save this disgusting hassle.
Then I found the above! Really?
