Jumped him for the first time since the PC champs today
Hes STILL got his long coat because my clippers wont be ready till the 22nd Nov as motor blew, so waiting for them to be fixed! And he also has a massive tummy.. It has reduced in size since hes come back into work but we still have a long way to go before he will look like a nice event horse again!
Anyway, just hired the school down the road today. Mum had a sit on him whilst i got the jumps out (first time shes ridden in a few years!) and Rocky was good and behaved for her
Then i hopped back on and mum became camera woman again. He was a very good boy, just found him a little bit flat but i think thats due to him not being very fit and getting so sweaty so quickly due to his coat. Whilst hes been off, me and my instructor (whos broken her leg coming off her 4yo who took a distinct dislike to the bin men!
) have been looking through my jumping videos and she said i need to 'give' alot more with my hands because i dont give him enough rein for him to make a nice shape over the fence. So i concentrated on that today. Very rusty with my jumping though (especially seeing a stride) even after only 2 months off.
Anyway, here are some pictures - CC away, the more the better
p.s i know my elbows need glueing to my body!
sorry for the pic overload!
