Seems fair. They would have additional costs and a bit of profit on that.
Yes, I think it's fair too. Obviously the cost of hiring a large lorry + driver for all the foals they bought, ferry cost, vaccs, vet and farrier

Wow, did not expect this.. The Oldenburg is up for £6k :O
Is that about what you were expecting?
After seeing his videos, reading out his injuries, lack of training and experience I would think about £2.5 at the most.
I don't know what injuries he's had so can't comment on that but it does not suprise me in the least they are asking 6k but it's whether they will find anyone to pay it that's the real question .
How old is he ?
A big, gangly baby.
I like him.
I don't like him at all, but then life would be boring if we all liked the same thing.
3K if he passed the vet and you either wanted a basic riding horse or were willing to take the gamble he would train on well.
At the end of the day he is worth what the seller is willing to let him go for and the buyer is willing to pay.
Further to my posts, here are some videos of him -

Not my cup of tea at all. Very out behind, no push through the hips and no swing over the back.
He may well be immature in terms of education, but a horse with potential will show it regardless...
The combination of age, lack of education, topped off with the health issues... You couldn't pay me to have him.

Did you ever find out the Oldenburg's dam's pedigree Jenny? Damlines are the very important, sometimes more so than the sireline. I really do not think his dam is an Oldenburg because he really doesn't look like an horse with an Oldenburg mother.
So she might even be just 'some mare' most likely a TB. That's okay if she is approved but it's odd that he's sooooo TBx looking as usually the only TB mares who are approved for breeding with the Oldenburg Verband are big stocky NH type mares with tons of substance. Does she not have a passport for him then?No she didn't know. She thought the mare was about 16.2, but wasn't sure. I can't believe for an extra £500 I can get a pink papered Han colt from prolific sirelines and excellent line of Pr. St mares!
Unless the 5 yo rides a lot better than it looks it's going to worth halfish what they are asking if mum was a bog standard mare.
The colt looks lovely if you have the facilities to raise him and suitable company for him.
This is quite an wide ranging horse hunt from a five yo who's behind and will need a lot of work immediatly and a colt , you sound like me .
