Awww thanks guys :D

He is a sweetie... although I've had a couple of people recently saying he needs to put on weight.... but I'm not convinced!

Not weight but he could do with a bit more topline if you are planning to show. More work is the only thing that will develop this more ( unless u want an obese horse :o

Im pretty sure that Section E just means that he is a gelded section D (I may be wrong)

I agree that he needs a little more topline and maybe a little bit more condition if you were going to show him but not a great amount and looks great coming out of a long and hard winter!!

Aaaaagh! No more weight! If anything, I would say his neck is edging towards cresty. He's an absolutely gorgeous lad - as others have said, improve his top line a little but beyons that he looks a winner to me x

Thanks - he has sweet itch (hence the hogged mane!)... but am trying desperately to keep it at bay so we can grow it this summer!

I have nooo idea what an E is his passport just says "Welsh Section D (E) no height restriction"

He's Rhydfendigaid Sambo, Dam: Rhydfendigaid Matilda and Sire: Gewnllan Space

With Welsh you have section A B C & D which is for a mare or stallion (ie breeding stock) a section E is a gelding from any category. So D (E) is a gelded section D.

Hope that helps xxx

Oh I seee!!! That makes a lot of sense!

Thanks!!

I told my friend and she thought he was a failed breed lol... she thought that they tried to make a new Welshie and failed and Sam is the result lol - she thinks he's funny looking! :( Sam doesn't like her anymore!

Rather lovely- does not need any more weight- especially coming into spring/summer, but as others have said could do with some muscling up.....

What a beautiful Welsh Sec E ;)
Its also nice to see one at a very good weight. He doesn't look thin, to me he is a good weight and looks fit. He just needs more topline and he will look amazing.
Lovely horse :)

I clicked in on this while I was having a brew before and thought "oh how nice to see a welsh cob that isn't wobbling "

... no more weight just lots of hill work :-)

haha lol :D Thank you! I like the weight he is at now, no apple bum, no huge crest and he doesn't wobble!

He likes to think he is fit, but isn't actually very fit at all! (Entirely my fault.)

We have recently moved yard and I am struggeling to find hills on a hack - I will find some though! I love hill work.. Sam not so much! :)

Thank you for all your lovely comments.

Does anyone know what the rules are for showing his type? Would he be allowed with a hogged mane? xxx
