But that's the reward
Are you replying to my post? If so can you explain what you meanBut that's the reward
Horse does well, understands, performs a move confidently, relax walk on longer rein, that is the reward
I suspect some of it is because teaching younger and/or less talented riders on probably less talented horses is not the same as a talented rider warming up horses they've handpicked and trained at home to be exactly how they like them (however that is done - with a lot of firmness we might not like to use ourselves and that we don't see in the warm-up, probably). She didn't have the tools in her toolbox to deal with it (possible never has done/never will - coaching isn't for everyone) so she made a bad choice, which she'd probably made before in similar situations without consequence. Her lack of ability to make better choices speaks poorly to her abilities as a horseperson in general.Charlotte always appeared to be sympathetic to her horses too. I've watched her for many, many years. Stood by the side of the warm up ring and watched her school every horse she's ever owned. She was, by far, the most sympathetic rider. She'd run through a few of the moves and then spend most of the time on a long rein just mooching around. Others would be drilling their horses. Poor riding, jabbing hands, wobbly seats etc, repeating movements over and over again with stressed, anxious horses. Charlottes always looked happy and relaxed and clear about what they were being asked. I'm still scratching my head about why on earth she sabotaged her career and reputation in such spectacular fashion.

I’m really disappointed that she’s back and getting so much attention. Rewarding the mean!LIHS start list has been released. CDJ is on there, as well as Morgan Barbancon. It will be interesting to see what the audience reaction will be.
And H&H have used her name in the title of the announcement, rather than Becky's or someone else's. Hmmmm.....

I think there is some manipulation going on. When I first saw the post it had angry face reactions. I went back to find it again later and they'd gone...The comments on the H&H post are surprisingly positive![]()
Does no one remember when the big name show jumpers were caught using hedgehog skins and rapping?. Does anyone honestly think such practices have stopped?I’m really disappointed that she’s back and getting so much attention. Rewarding the mean!
What do you mean? If you mean that they've had to entice her to compete somehow then I'd doubt they'd need to. She is very much back in the game and will be looking to get back to big shows and up the rankings, I would have thought.I wonder what sort of a deal the management company has organised in order to achieve that...
Yes I remember that and turpintine under the bandages! That was years and years ago.Does no one remember when the big name show jumpers were caught using hedgehog skins and rapping?. Does anyone honestly think such practices have stopped?

Long before Jilly Cooper….at least the “hedgehog” skins was….Those were the Jilly Cooper 'Riders' years weren't they?
Oh, for sure; it was an established enough practice for her to include them in the book, is more what I meantLong before Jilly Cooper….at least the “hedgehog” skins was….
If they have it's only because they can't get hedgehogs any moreDoes no one remember when the big name show jumpers were caught using hedgehog skins and rapping?. Does anyone honestly think such practices have stopped?
