Me neither. I work part time with meetings according to client schedules, business needs, etc. Most of the time I can set my own schedule, but sometimes there are emergencies, or clients can only do a certain time, etc. I usually stick to a consistent schedule as much as I can (M/W/F last year), but it can change week to week.I don't have much of a problem with this.
Not being able to do set days may not work for many, but there will be others who just want the horse ridden more and will just charge a day rate accordingly.
I pay for my share with labour, not time, and therefore tend to help with project-type or one-off things rather than daily care (fencing, organizing/major clean up, holding for vet/farrier, etc). Lots of places where this wouldn't work, but it's actually pretty good for this place, as it also lets them say "no, not today, farm is too busy," AND they can call me up and say "help, we need an emergency fence repair, can you come?"
