Yeah, but that’s your own house. I bet if a cottage advertised ‘dogs allowed, but not upstairs’ a significant proportion of people would ignore the ‘not upstairs’ bit, which makes the restriction rather pointless.All or nothing seems a bit extreme
When we had dogs they lived in the kitchen, they never went upstairs and I wouldn't be surprised if a rental place had similar rules
I think if you allow dogs you have to assume they are shedding and muddy and owned by irresponsible prats (and charge for cleaning accordingly).
I’m absolutely NOT saying that all dog owners would trash the place, just that you need to plan for the worst and hope for the best.
