Cheeky/ridiculous posts you see on Facebook.

Saw an advert the other day for a part loan, for a 2 year old!! Must pay towards keep and trim every 6 weeks, looking for a loaner to do ground work, cover jobs their days, and pay money. Specified wouldn’t be breaking in for a few years, but when the time comes the loaner can back it! What shocked me more was all the people commenting what a great opportunity it was 😮

Hi all this is a very had thought / decision I have a horse I brought back last year and really struggling with him he’s in need if possible ulcer treatment and had already cost me to much in vet bills for colic he’s a ex race horse he’s needing someone who’s got the time to give to him that I don’t and with personal circumstances I’m unable to afford to get his ulcers treated I want Todo what’s best for him I would be heart breaking to sell him but I’m running out of options I’m in need of a horse that dosnt need so much attention and been there done that type.

Not sure if this is the right thing todo hence why I’m putting a post out there
.

Who’s going to buy a horse with ulcers and colic history?
Also does this person want to buy another horse? Despite having no money

I was just coming to post this too. Alot have suggested Sophie Semour on the post on a local page.

I’d say unless Sophie is willing to take it on for free there’s little hope of it coming to anything.
I’m definitely a cynic and obviously without any background or pictures it’s my own biases but with a colic history and ulcers I’d take a bet the horse is unsound and needs retiring or PTS.

That just popped up on my feed too! If it's true, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. 😱
Gosh! So she wants to move into your house, as long as you keep out of her way, and keep the volume down.

And she wants to help with ‘horse care’ without ..y’know… the physical work. So… no mucking out or lugging hay around. Errr what’s left?

She’s so bonkers I almost want to meet her! 😀

And she'll cook when she 'feels inspired'..... So when she's not inspired someone has to cook for her?

I see places like that offered on a semi regular basis on the work away sites. They have paid staff for the horse care and have people come and work a few hours a day for accomodation who can offer other skills. Its something that is done abroad more rather than the UK but she will absolutely find somewhere.
But she wants 1-3 others MAX in her household?

Or do these communities have a collection of households on one site?

Lots of them have multi households living in separate accomodation. Honestly, as a yoga teacher she will get multiple offers. Its far from the most weird one I've seen. Its a weird sub section of society!

Just seen an advert on FB for a “virtual foster” of a horse. It will cost you £30 per month because he needs geriatric feed and for that you get a photo each month. I reckon I could cope with sending someone a photo of my horse every month if they pay me £30 towards his upkeep. I could even include postage of some stray hairs as a keepsake given he’s just started shedding. Or stuff I pick out of his hooves? That’ll cost extra though…

sounds like a horsey version of OnlyFans 🤣. I sense a business plan incoming.

Now that is easier than a sharer!

I monetised my fb page last year. My highest paying post was a video of me washing my horse's w4ng. I have considered a new venture, setting up a website called "ponyFans"
I’m on a land management page and every so often the page owner posts about some random pervert who wants videos of horses pooing. I mean if he’s willing to pay my pony generates a lot of content.

SPECULATIVE LIVERY

Do you have a lovely pony who perhaps lacks mileage or a jockey who you would like to find a new home for? I am offering limited speculative livery spaces. This is a cost effective way for your pony to gain experience and/or get fit ready to find the right family. I take on all their day to day running costs, which offers me the freedom to do things on the pony’s timescale without any pressure.

Based on a gorgeous yard in the Cotswolds with super facilities set up for ponies, I am petite and lightweight so I can produce them alongside my super little jockeys and have a large pony community through which to find them their new home when they are ready.

This has just popped up on FB. I've omitted the poster's name and phone number. :D

I'm confused by this one. Obviously it's great that facilities are being provided for horse riders but I'm not sure how it gets used? I wouldn't want to leave a horse in it unattended, nice for tacking up in securely perhaps but seems a bit OTT for that, but I'm not sure you'd travel over there to use it as a (small) schooling area, especially with that hacking being available? Am I being thick?
