Does that statement put you off?
I have had my horse advertised for over a month now and she has not sold despite the fact that farrier and trainer and trainers trainer and friends cant understand why she hasnt been snapped up. She is a chestnut mare and my friend today said
"Is it cos she is a chestnut mare?" But she isnt stereotypical of a `chestnut mare`. She is loving and doesnt get stroppy when in season etc. And I know of people that own chestnut mares who say they wouldnt change them for the world! and they are not typical chestnut mares. So where did this stigma come from originally. I`ve heard the stigma about black mares too, that they are nasty!
I have read posts on here about people not being able to find a horse to buy but are there certain colours that they see eg, `chestnut`, `grey`, that puts them off and they dont even read the advert?
Perhaps forget the stigma that comes with the different colours and just read the advert and take the photo at face value and go and look at the horse. You might be pleasantly surprised
Just a thought.
