My horse has had choke twice in the last 3 months.
I have owned him for a year this month and never noticed it happen before.
Changes: 1) moved yard in Nov and this yard has smart hay feeders. 2) Old yard I used a haylage net.
Could this be the case? Gulping down hay and if so he must gulp super fast as he is 100% ok when I lead him into his stable them literally both times a moment later he is uncomfortable, coughing and squeaking!
First time cleared massaging throat, second time, put a hose in his mouth for 10 seconds and it cleared it.
So scary.
Not food/dinner related as both times were before evening feed was placed in stable.
Advise welcome please to avoid or clear asap if happens again.
Thank you
