Christmas eve-ish Weekend Plans!

I worked out I've ridden for a grand total of 9 hours this weekend which is a hell of a lot for me. I met up with a friend this morning for a ride and ended up being out for 2.5 hours all of which was on hills and almost killed poor Osi off. Both horses are complete angels and never let me down.

Couldn't resist taking a picture of Brieze's ears this morning:

We did games again today ? he's so good, doesn't get het up at all and stops when I need him to!
We also did a narrower and narrower with blocks, he won with jumping one single block which doesn't sound much but he's always had an aversion to narrow jumps so to jump one block with no wings or anything is so good!

Not much to say except Chilli was a babe today! Here’s a video from today, my badly ridden lines and fall included! ? Aside from that, we had a fantastic time and I really felt Chilli tried her heart out for me. Never in my wildest dreams at the beginning of this year did I think that I’d have the confidence to jumping like this. Now to spend the winter working on fiddly lines like the ones we did in this lesson. I feel so lucky to be able to ride this athletic, talented little bouncy ball of a mare ??

I've loved reading the positive weekend reports, especially MPs dressage show, chippers games, and the naughty trec veteran ?

We've had a terribly horsy weekend with two separate outings.

F and Daisy went to a new venue for their Christmas Show, and she was fabulous, jumping clear in the 60 and 70, and getting 3rd in the 70 speed. She didn't like their holding area, and had to go straight into the ring from outside, but jumped really well over a spooky course...

Then today Fionn and did a Christmas derby, and got 5th, with 8 faults. It was a strong course.

Hubbys birthday tomorrow.....

I spent a considerable amount of money getting legal to ride under rules again at Olympia today. Had a fab time but yes the finale was not what I'd hoped. The rest made up for it though. And a nice hack yesterday.
Sounds like there's been some productive riding been going on

Rooni was a total superstar at his Sophie lesson. No messing around and worked with some challenging conditions in a busy arena like a pro :)

Sadly, Fig has come down with lami and is not in a good way at all. He nearly colicked earlier in the week because of it so I’m a bit of a wreck at the moment.

I love him with all my heart and just want him to feel better :(

@nikkimariet I hope Figgy feels better soon <3

Whoops, RO! she looks full of beans ?
She was full of energy! She got pretty strong and silly hence I struggled a lot with my line from the double to the corner. I definitely need to do some work on my core as I should have been able to jump that line fine but ended up like a plate of jelly!!
Looking good RO! Shame about the left exit but hey all good otherwise.
Thank you! I ache today  But it wasn't really her fault, I just didn't actually really aim her anywhere and she didn't lock on as she usually would!

I have my first lesson in about 10 years on Boxing Day! Nervous and excited ?

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas week!
And hope those fires clear up for you soon Northern saw the news earlier and it looked awful ☹️

Unfortunately it looks like I may have to have a horse PTS before new year. Lenny has been retired to my mums field for the last few years, he is only 10 but riddled with arthritis and with an undiagnosed hind end lamenes (£15k spent on diagnostics only to come away with nothing). He has been field sound and happy but would not stand up to any work. He is now very lame. A vet is coming tommorow to rule out something simple like an abscess, but if it is any more than that it will be time to say good bye.

Adorable Alice was going to do a bit of low level dressage, until I went to send the entry and noticed the venue wants 6 month vacs. Alice missed hers in August because she was in hospital trying to die and with a lengthy rehab in front of her I totally failed to remember to jab her again.
