Have any of you used the above on themselves and/or the horse.

I have just had a read of the manufacturer statements which of course are glowing.

Both I and my horse are like a pair of creaking gates in old age and I am tempted to give the stuff a go.

Any success stories please and how much to use. Horse is 17.2 700kg+
Thanks

Well it won't do any harm to either of you and if the horse improves you know that it works - unless you have a very clever horse that understands everything of course! I know some swear by it bt have never used it myself.

I used to do a shot of it in the mornings to boost stomach acid when I had digestion troubles, I think it worked and it also helped as I was having a lot of hormonal hot flushes as a teenager and it seemed to calm them down! Magical but after a while found it hard to even sniff the stuff haha! You can dilute the same amount in water but I'm not sure which was worse :-/

I feed it sporadically (I run out and forget to get more :o). I've never really noticed a difference...but then they don't creak as it is. I just feed it for taste and as a tonic.

Having said that, you can also use it as a thrush soak and a hoof poultice.

You can mix it with oil for a healthy salad dressing.

And a heart specialist I know was supporting this on FB the other day....

So it seems worthwhile keeping a bottle around :D

I believe the organic/raw, cloudy stuff is supposed to be the best?

Its great stuff for horses, feed it to all the racehorses, makes their coats lovely and can get fussy eaters to eat up too.
Get the capsules for yourself - its not nice to drink it. Aids weight loss too.

I feed it to my horse in conjunction with Linseed and it makes his coat look fantastic!

Also he is the only horse in the paddock who is not bothered by flies, which I am pretty sure is the Vinegar.

Will it unbalance a barefoot diet of a lgl horse?

No my horse is 17.1hh and barefoot and he has it!! brilliant stuff for keeping flies off them as well. Used it for joint issues instead of an expensive suppliment and worked a treat could not recomend it highly enough would never be without it!!

I didnt know it helo weight loss, I might buy some :D

My old horse wouldnt touch the stuff, so never found out if it works or not.

Used to feed it until a vet pointed out what it would make the tummy feel like if you gave it to a horse with a delicate tummy or worse ulcers.
Vinegar on a mouth ulcer think about it.

When I was a kid there was a woman at the riding school i was at with the most fantastic big grey dressage horse (Grand Prix level), he was just the best mover and so handsome.

18-20 years or so later, i moved onto a new livery yard, and found she was liverying there - and to my amazement the big grey was there too, he was at least 17hh and must have been into his 30's and still going strong... she said she'd never fed him anything particularly special, but had been giving him Apple Cider Vinegar since he was 2 years old twice a day...

It's smashing stuff - a real cure all... if you believe all the hype. Not sure it really cures/treats everything but, I have given it my horses for years, more as a general tonic and they love the taste - even my fussy TB.

It also makes a refreshing drink when diluted with hot or cold water.

However, you need to buy the organic stuff which is unpasteurised and has the 'Mother' in it - it gives it a cloudy appearance. The cider vinegar you get from the supermarket is usually the clear refined version which is no good.
