How totally out of order was she. Liam Tredwell's finest hour and she had to totally spoil it for him by making a point about how bad his teeth were. What a total cow. I really felt for the lad then.
When she asked to see his teeth I thought we were going to see a mouthful of dirt from following horses earlier in the race. I was shocked when I realised what it was about.
Poor Liam. What a way to knock his confidence and put a downer on such a great moment for him. Totally humiliating.
I thought it was a bit out of order too...you could tell he was self-conscious. I'm sure he won't let it get to him too much though...I mean, he's just won the National!
I actually gasped when she said that - couldn't believe how personal and rude she was being!
It was obviously an 'in joke' but there was no need to be-little Liam in his finest hour.
Oh dear Clare, I really like her too, but this was definately not one of her finer moments.
She asked Liam to smile into the camera and then pointed out that maybe he could afford to get his teeth fixed now.
Poor lad looked very embarrassed but I thought handled it well when he quipped that it might bring bad luck if he did!
There is a difference between an in-joke amongst all the jockeys to it being announced on national tv! Poor lad - lets hope he forgets about it in the glory of his win.

My feelings exactly. We were disgusted in my house, his finest moment and she had to spoil it. I sincerely hope he's not the type to dwell on it. Totally insensitive, unnecessary and unprofessional
Can't say it's the first time I've been shocked by something she's said. My OH was astonished. Utterly rude and insensitive. Also the comment that for "someone like Liam" this would be a career highlight! Surely it is a career highlight for even the most successful and longstanding jump jockeys?!
I was in another room and heard her say it I have to say I thought it was because he may have had his front teeth knocked out and did not have his falsies in. Was it really because he has "bad" teeth, or was it missing teeth?

No - he really does have bad teeth - but no need to draw attention to them as he is clearly quite self conscious about them.
They did look to have quite large gaps between them, they weren't 'missing' like Tom Scudamore's for example.........lost in action!, but when she said bad, I expected to see them all black or crossing or similar.
I can't quite beleive how many people have a problem with what she said, as she was clearly having a laugh nd does not have a horrble bone in her body, surely people should be disscussing how well that boy rode nd what a fantastic job he did rather than some meaningless off the cuff remark, which in hind sight could have gone unsaid but wasn't and no amount of wingeing will change it,
Her Sexuality has sod all to do with anything, that comment was just as unnecessary as hers was about hes teeth and yet again a mountain is being made out of a mole hill!
