Can anyone tell me what classes a connie around 15hh could be shown in? Looking at the rules it looks like 14'2 is the max for the m&m classes?
Classes for connie thats over 14'2?

as he is over height you cannot do any M&M classes.
Some of the Connie breed shows have classes for overheights (normally in with the partbreds).
Some over height connies can do quite well plaited up in the hunter pony classes, if you are too old for the hunter pony classes then you could try the small hunter classes but generaly they are too small for that and too ponyish.

Is he JMB measured? Or measured at home (or just a height that he was sold at or an estimation)?

Could he do M&M workers? When we have entered our Connie it's divided into height classes but I haven't seen it stated that 143 and over have to meet their breed standard. Haven't looked that hard though as not an issue for our lad.

He'll still need to measure 148 for workers.

Thanks for the replies sounds like we are a bit screwed for showing if she officially measures over 14'2 now 
she is being properly measured today but we thing she is closer to 15hh and only just turned 5 so may still grow a little more. Thi

I think it depends on the rules. I used to do M&M ridden classes and working hunter ones with my 15.2hh registered Welsh D and used to do very well (at agricultural show and RC type level). Only once did I have a judge comment she felt I was in the wrong class but then she believed my horse was a friesian (he looked nothing like one - she had no idea!) but it was just an RC show and nowhere did it state a height limit. If it were me and the pony was only a tiny bit over then I'd just do the classes. Unless you're planning to try and do big stuff then I dont see the issue. At the end of the day he is a registered pure bred Connie so IMO should be eligible for M&M.

isn't it more about the breed standard than the actual height of the horse though, MM? There's no upper height limit for section Ds in the breed standard, whereas connies are supposed to be 14.2 as a max?

There is no height limit on section D's in fact many are 15.2hh and doing well at county shows.
Connemaras however have a upper height limit of 14.2hh and the Connemara society is very hot on enforcing it! They regularly recall ponies for height measurements. Other societies wait for objections from competitors, the Connie society recalls at random and if a judge mentions they think one is a bit big
