Cleaning Ariats

Just wondered how everyone cleans their Ariat boots? I've got boots and chaps and have been told there isn't any point buying the special Ariat cleaning products, so have just been wiping them over with a damp clean cloth, any other suggestions on what products to use on them? Thanks!

I've always cleaned mine with effax as that's what I clean my tack with
My bromonts have lasted about 6 years with this treatment, still waterproof

You should clean with bog standard boot polish stuff. Don't use tack cleaners, your stuff will go floppy and won't be as shiny.
