click girls...

well i've got a welsh section D that i am now too big for and need a bigger horse but i have been competing at grand prix level with him i plan to sell him and get my self a bigger horse that i can hopefully go even further with.i have had 7 months out of competing because i started to look silly on him and more often than not i got placed.i've gotta go now coz i am finishing at college.bye x

Oh yes do give us your name - then we can search you
smile.gif
if you are GP level then you're affiliated - and therefore findable on the relevent search engine.

And by saying to other forum members that you are "above their game" you will not make friends - and btw many of these forum members genuinly ARE at the top of the sport in different genres - might want to remember that!

Welsh Section D? are you having a bloody laugh?
If you are so trained, why are you not teaming?
When maybe one day you reach such a level, you will realise how much blood sweat and tears goes into it, and will understand why it is so sodding annoying when people come along and pretend!
GRRRRRRR

Well, I believe you, after all you can't spell and don't understand the difference between click and clique - you must have been doing something with all that free time when you should have been at school, so why not dressage
smirk.gif

Ellz, this isn't a "playing horses" forum. People here genuinely do compete at high levels in real life - so if you say that you compete at Grand Prix dressage on a Welsh cob, its a sure thing that someone here will recognise you - because there are genuine GP riders here !

Its great to dream, and to be honest, if you don't dream, you won't get anywhere - but you have to know when to tell the truth. Aim for GP dressage, by all means, there is no reason at all why you can't get there if you work hard enough and are dedicated enough, but saying things like you are a GP rider now, when you clearly aren't, just makes you look a bit silly.

WHat are you going to do about these silly girls at your yard?

wait......iv cracked it! theres a show run near to me where they run a 'local rider grand prix' dressage and SJ section - so thats it! LOL

seriously, this soooooooooooo reminds me of the convo i had on here a few years back, when I dared to criticise a top SJer (now a top jump jockey) who had beaten up his horse at hickstead....a guy accused me of being a *fu&%ing members cupper'. the impression given was that he himself was a top SJer also - but when confronted, he wouldnt answer any questions about his horses/experience!

PRECISELY!!

GRRR im still wound up about it. lol

they'll be doing Intermediare the year after that.

oh, honestly. i don't want it to sound as if we're a load of old bit**es having a go at the kid, but if she'd just admit to having exaggerated a bit, maybe we'd let it go. as someone said, it's a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to any decent level, so to have someone come along and claim it so lightly, and so rudely, really gets my goat.
which, by the way, is at Advanced Medium level.

PMSL, please can I see a picture of your Advanced Medium goat? I would like to see how you get it to work in outline truely connected from behind, I do not think their conformation is good enough!!

Considering how much blood sweat and tears it took to become pretty rubbish at a pretty low level, I cannot even begin to imagine how long it takes and how hard it is to get good at a decent level!

Members Cup = BSJA competitions that (i think!) allow for horses/riders of any grading - so in effect, they are open classes. so if you've got a horse that has jumped its way out of foxhunter level, but not quite good enough to go on the national circuit, then you could put this horse into a Members Cup.

but i think he was making out he knew more than he did!

WHich is why it annoys me so much. Almost as much as it annoys mde to see people wearing those Toggi GBR jackets etc!
We have a girl on the yard who owns one, and after my ranting about it the other day, someone actually asked her when she last represented her country.
Made me chuckle.

Does it annoy you when you go to badminton or the nationals and see people in breeches (who are not competing) too
wink.gif

That always makes me laugh - I always think - no, the pony books are not true, WFP or Carl Hester is not about to break his leg and ask you to step into the breach, rubber riding boots and all

Ah sure, but why not? Lots of people wear sexy babe type tshirts when I think they're anything but, but hey, if thats what they want to do, let them. No point getting upset over it.

i am afraid i do not have any pictures of my Advanced Medium goat at the moment. i had a few problems getting a bridle to fit over his horns, but i can assure you that he does work in an outline, correctly over his back, into a light even contact. my trainer says he will go to the Olympics, if not Beijing (bit worried about that, they might eat him over there) then London. he is very good at coming light in front as he spends a lot of time on his hindlegs eating the tops of trees.
of course, i'm a bit big and fat to be riding a goat, but that's a whole other thread...
wink.gif

i am actually crying with laughter here at my own pathetic joke. *hangs head in shame*

And I spose, Toggi sponsor the national team so they can sell more jackets like that, and if they didn't, then the sponsorship would stop, and that can't be good for the sport.

So on balance do we allow people to still wear them?

I always thought it was illegal to wear a GBR flag if you havn't represented the country? Hm might have been something I made up lol

No, Toggi do a GBR team range of lesiure/yard wear, which is what's being referred to I think: http://www.toggi.com/bef.html
