clipcloppop- hows raff?

awwwww you guys are so sweet.

Raff is fine, he is coping far better than me. He's been cross tied for a week now. And is amazingly chilled. He stands there with his ears in donkey mode chewing his supersoaked hay.
He is starting to bear some weight on his bad leg which is good cos it lessens the risk of lami on t'other one.
Raff has always amazed me, with his kindness and gentle tolerance of my numptiness/nervousness... but this last week i've been blown away by him. There aren't many horses who would stand so still happily.

I'm okay, just living in constant fear of 'that' conversation with the vet. Every night i wake up in pools of sweat after bad dreams about it.
But, everyday that goes by means it's getting stronger, is healing, and he hasn't got lami yet....
I'll take some photos of him later... He has lost SO much condition already. His ribs are obvious now.

Thank you for thinking of him. X

Clipcloppop, am soo glad he is doing ok and you may not think so but time has flown, can't believe it's a week ago already. Please keep us updated, we all love him too from your descriptions of him. As for the weight loss, maybe we could all get ourselves cross tied as a new type of diet??

Good boy Raff:) Have been keeping all digits crossed.

The lighter he is, the less strain there is on his joints don't forget!

Good news Clipclop:D:D

Have been thinking of him too, I hope he continues to improve and makes a full recovery. Hugs to you and him x:D:D

Good news ClipClop, have been thinking of you and Raff... you never know, cross-tying may become the new a-list diet phase!!! :D
fingers and paws firmly crossed he continues to be a good boy and recover well... :)

Thank you for the update CCP, think about you both often. Everything crossed for continuing good progress and less sleepless nights for you.

I'm really thrilled to hear that the brave boy is coping so well. ((((big hugs))) for the both of you. xxx
