Hi everyone my horse has turned into a woolly Mamet . So I decided to get the clippers out this weekend. I decided to take Hair off her neck . I was wondering am I taking to much Hair of for her level of work. She is ridden 6 days a week 1 hour A day. She gets very sweaty

this is the clip I was thinking of putting on my mare. I got this Picture of google Images.

that sort of clip is really versatile because you don't take so much off that they get too cold in bad weather, but you keep the most sweaty areas dry, or at least easy to wash off.

Looks perfect to me for what you describe. I'm a great fan of a blanket clip and that is just a variation on the theme.

If you need a little more - I've seen versions of this one (photo also from google) where you do a little bit just in front of the hind leg - where mine gets sweaty schooling. i've seen versions of this where the bit on the back leg is very narrow so it's much less than a blanket but does get that sweaty hind leg area
