Clipping

Has any of you started clipping yet? It was the end of October last year when I clipped mine but thinking maybe it needs doing sooner! This weather is driving me nuts!
Also, what weight turnouts have your horses got on?

Just done my second clip!! Pony has a blanket clip and is naked in the day and in a LW at night.

Both mine have been done, they were getting so sweaty when ridden that it is much nicer for them to be clipped. This weather is annoying though as it makes rugging so much harder

My girls are TBs so do have a very fine coat but are now getting sweaty after work, think I may have to clip earlier this year.

Daughter's pony was clipped about three weeks ago - mainly so she would look good for showing!

LW Turnout at night and nothing during the day.

Charlie is a TB too and although he wasn't particularly fluffy he was still sweating up alot. So much easier after a ride now just to whip his tack of, give him a quick brush off, rug up and stick out!

Think i will be doing an irish or bib clip on seren this weekend as she got so sweaty from just walking on sunday!

Clipped on Saturday, horse is much happier now I think rather than coming in dripping after 30mins work!

i usually try and wait until the begging of nov but i worked him l;ast night and came in all the sweaty for the first time so thinking of getting it done earlier!

No one at my yard has yet either though was going to do a friends horse who was getting very hot but now aren't due to change in circumstances.... so sad, I love clipping

We have just clipped all 4 of ours, which is about the same time as last year, we should def have clipped a couple of weeks ago as the horses have been sweating up badly.
We had been waiting to buy some new clippers as our previous set broke at the first attempt to clip, but they are all now sporting hunter clips and are being turned out in LW rug during the day and a MW rug at night.
