Hi,
I have a clover hill mare who is coming to the end of her breeding career. I would think she only has a foal or two left in her. I really want to breed a traditionally Irish showjumper. She is by Clover Hill and her dam side has a good dash of blood too so I'm looking to go to a sport horse. May possible go to a good boned thoroughbred that is breeding jumpers.
Anyone have any good recommendations of FULLY Irish sport horses in Ireland that they think would suit? I was thinking possible Coevers Diamond Boy. Then theres also Puissance but he seems to be breeding more event type which is not ideally what I'm looking for. Both are old but still covering a few mares each year.
In the past she has bred some great horses to Ballinvella and Cruising, both now obviously dead. I was looking at Cruising Ambassador but he doesn't seem to have many progeny jumping at a high level.
Preferably want a stallion with proven jumping progeny. I'm just finding it hard to find a fully Irish stallion that doesn't have either Clover Hill breeding or is half continential/foreign blood.
Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
