After hearing a conversation the other day i realize there are alot of cob snobs about some dressage people (ie trainer & people who sell them on) where having a conversation about the horses they sell (horses which compete at psg level and the like - top class warmbloods) which swiftly changed to cobs being worthless the conversation went along the lines of *oh its JUST a cob why on earth would they want it vetted or insured?? etc etc etc can't do much with them ya da ya da...... and generally laughing and looking down on cobs.... it was the laughing and the redicule that annoyed me the most, everyone has there own opinions but crikey shouting your mouth off about cobs when you meant to be a professional business is just unprofessional IMO.
I have 2 cobs, a fantastic cob who is as safe as houses but still has the look at me attitude and showing promise for dressage - okay not psg or alike but at least novice i hope. Whats worse is that the people who i heard are good trainers and i was considering lessons next spring with my cob but since they where ridiculing them i would rather take my businesss elsewhere.........it wasnt even a discreet conversation it was talked about in front of everyone!!
how un-professional
