Colour of electric tape - does it matter?

I'm blind as a bat, and from a distance I can never tell if the green tape is up, so I prefer white, but does it matter to the horse?
I'm in the process of dividing the field I've got as it's too much grass, and will be way too much when it warms up and/or rains... so what to go for?

I use white at home because I also prefer the increased visibility. But i have green at the yard (YO stipulation) and even my clumsy TB who hoons around daily seems to be fine with it.

Given the choice though, I'd use white every time.

I use white... thinking about changing as my horse ran through it in the snow ... fairly certain she couldn't see it against the white snow as this isn't normal behaviour for her.

I use white tape with white posts for visibility.
I have ponies so the fence is always on too - they test it with whiskers almost daily.

Don't know if this really is a thing but it doesn't take much to put into place - I don't use white long-reins or lunge-lines so there is absolutely no confusion with a young pony that only some white tape-y things bite.

I have miles of white tape and blue poles from the last yard so I can see instantly if any of it is down. New yard stipulates green posts and tape. Horse is respectful of both, but I try to ensure there is always a charge running down it, just in case.

I use white- it mostly allows me to see from my bedroom window which posts they’ve taken out overnight in order to escape!

My night blind one struggles to see green even in daylight. Neither colour stops her pulling the posts up to get to fresh grass though ?

I use brown on most of the permanent lines of fence because it’s less visually intrusive.
I tend to use white on the fence a move about the most but tbh the issues we have had with electric fences have been about power failing to get round the fence not the colour of the wire .
Over years I have concluded that the real issues with electric fence and horses are caused by us not being strict enough with ourselves to keep the kick strong in the whole fence hence training horses to be blasé about it .
You can’t do this with Blue he’s obviously been kept with fencing with power running through he arrived with no respect .
I had to upgrade my mains unit but he’s now very respectful but he had some serious shocks at first .

A friend once attended a driving course for her HGV. In discussion the other drivers wanted to know why horses didn't like white. They had no idea that the tape was electric and thought it was the flimsy white tape that's contained the horses because they were frightened of white! So white may be a better human deterrent. Any colour is an improvement on the orange string I remember zapping me as a child.

I only use white. I want to be able to clearly see it.

I use white tape for visibility and I have a mixture of different coloured posts, mainly black and white with a few yellow ones so I mix them up and think it makes the line easier to see in different weather.
