Have pretty much decided to breed from Dolly.
15hh black cob (middleweight) 3 stockings and broad blaze. 18 years old but not a maiden.
Will AI at home (have excellent vets close by) and have spoken to vets about a package.

Dolly was a fab RC horse, fizzy but fun, excellent ODE up to 3ft but could jump way higher if she wanted, good hunter too.
Injured 3 years ago and has not really come sound again.

I have my own land and have had 2 foals previously.

So I need a sire.

requirements are.

COLOURED, with high % coloured foals

temperament

conformation (Dolly has no major faults, has an excellent shoulder and neck but a head like a bucket, slightly long back (for a cob) and a fab backend)

Near TB or similar to add quality, or some sort of lightweight warmblood.

will need to have a good length of leg.

So far I like
Lostock Huntsman and possibly Country Top Dollar

foal may be to sell or to keep depending on what type, aiming to breed a nice low level eventer or good all round RC horse, but would really really like a coloured. I know that I must chose a sire so that even if the foal is solid coloured it will still meet requirements.

so I want your suggestions please.

He guarantees coloured foals, he competes, has fantastic bloodlines and his temperament is second to none with his owners kids riding him. Bananaman on here has the most stunning colt by him. Have a look at his progeny on the News page as well, they're lovely.

There is also Dexter's Puzzle and Stanhopes Diddycoy, but they don't guarantee coloured foals. Dexter's Puzzle is also quite stocky.

Upton Deli Circus is a fab littel stallion too, very athletic offspring....
 
2 friends just had coloured foals. One by Dexters puzzle out of coloured cob mare- got a chunkyish coloured colt.

Other also coloured mare but Tb used his father 'Dexter' who is chestnut. They got coloured filly.

Not sure about there % coloureds from plain colour mares tho. Both nice stallions tho apparently.

Also Stanhopes Diddicoy is lovely.
 
Foxcourt Stud have a young coloured stallion that does AI called Sydney K (I believe he has showjumping form). I met him a couple of weeks ago when I took my mare down there and he has a temperament to DIE for!! What a lovely person! He also has a fantastic head, full of intelligence and quality, more limb than your average gatepost and very well marked. He doesn't have the best backend (ie he is a little weak over the quarters) but you say your mare is strong in this area. He could be broader through the chest for such a strongly built horse though I believe he is only a youngster so I wouldn't hold that aginst him at this stage especially if your mare is also strong there. I don't know what his ratio of coloured babies is but I for one am definitely going to see his offspring next year with a view to putting my mare to him.

He was for sale not long ago... like him as he is similar looking to my boy. Be interested to see any offspring of his....

I think they got him towards the end of last year so this will be his first season covering for them but I was SERIOUSLY impressed with him - more like a loving, affectionate gelding than 3/4 ton of entire male and stunning!

Yes just had a look, he looks fab compared to how he was when they brought him, he has muscled up and put weight on, looks like a stallion now....

You might try asking the owner of the coloured stallion if the stallion is homozygous for colour - if he is this will virtually garentee a coloured foal. I had a Goska Ringo coloured filly - she was lovely. He is homozygous for colour - but has he gone to France??
 
I have a coloured mare (woody) by Stetson (sire of Country top gun) who is 15/16 TB so may be a good option for you? woody is out of a IDxcob mare see he pic below, she evented to novice level before we bred a foal from her

I also have a coloured Gelding by Masterpiece who is fab i have evented him to novice level and touch wood he has never faulted XC and is always in top 10 after dressage see pic below of him winning JAS qulaifier this year

Neither of these stallions will gaurentee colour so if you rally want colour maybe you should consider Homozygous stallion such as ringo or Cutsdean Centurian? We plan to put woody in foal to Circus next time as want to breed something a little smaller.

*prepares to be ripped to bits* I don't think either those photos do Bits and Pieces justice or... to me he is roach backed, light of bone and has a short length of rein - I am sure there are better coloured stallions out there. I know not everyone likes the same thing so... bring it on *runs and hides*

The Pferde stud where Deco is has Albany (might be Allbany, not sure), he has a very nice temperament and they have some lovely youngsters by him there. Wouldn't be too far from you.
 
Seriously STOP your search- Use ALBANY
He is my girls dad (see the 3rd pic on my sig- thats the man himself)
He has the MOST amazing termperament that gets passed on.He has more presence (when you see him in the flesh) than any horse I have ever seen
Darren and Karen who owen him are superb- they are so knowledgable and helopful Albany really puts a fab stamp on all his foals.Everytime I go onto a showground with my mare judges always say to me " thats an Albany foal isnt it?They have such quality"
