I am so dumb, I commented up to 30... but is isn't its between 30-40, sorry if I have ruined the whole poll, please correct my silly blonde error, lol xx

I entered a trec contest this year and was pretty dismayed to see that me and my mare qualified for the 'Over 65 combined age class'. Not something to make a girl feel good! Not sure how many were in that class but I'm pretty sure we came last. So we're officially old and useless!

You ninny, yours is 77, based on your main ride :p if we all added 2 or 3 horses the poll wouldn't be worth doing :)

To those questioning the age definition,
As vets and those selling base a horses age on the year, thus all change age on 1st Jan for most purposes.
You dont put a 4 yr old in young stock in hand just because it isn't 4 till June, also a 'rising ' 4 yr old can be taken to shows, riding club, pony club and the like from now and not wait till later in the year :)

I ride them equally, about 10 times a year :p

78 with new horse but it was 89 when I retired the old TB. Our local riding club show has a special prize for the oldest combination in their veteran showing class, I was a cert for it until the old boy threw a complete wobbly at the judges hat, disappeared backwards at high speed and nearly had me off. I retired of course!

I had a similar thing years ago. My friend took my loan pony who was 24 at the time in the ridden class, she was in 60's. I had to rescue them as he was standing on his hind legs. Hardly the behaviour I expected from him.

In terms of my main ride combined age with me at the moment it's in the low 60's but when he retires it will drop by 17 years. :)

78, gawd 'elp us!! But I always thought that TB's had their 'official' birthday on Jan 1 and others on May 1st - or is it the other way round?
