You ninny, yours is 77, based on your main rideif we all added 2 or 3 horses the poll wouldn't be worth doing
To those questioning the age definition,
As vets and those selling base a horses age on the year, thus all change age on 1st Jan for most purposes.
You dont put a 4 yr old in young stock in hand just because it isn't 4 till June, also a 'rising ' 4 yr old can be taken to shows, riding club, pony club and the like from now and not wait till later in the year![]()
78 with new horse but it was 89 when I retired the old TB. Our local riding club show has a special prize for the oldest combination in their veteran showing class, I was a cert for it until the old boy threw a complete wobbly at the judges hat, disappeared backwards at high speed and nearly had me off. I retired of course!
