And mine is nowhere near what some of you pay.....mind you I really like rugs and supplements it would seem! ooops and then there the Camrosa......NO I am NOT playing!

Shoes 0 (barefoot pony, trimmed by fully trained fellow livery)
Bedding and feed included in livery.
Extraflex HA supplement 20 per month
Competitions 20 per month

So around 120 per month, lovely pony, chunky good doer who is 20 years old so doesnt need insuring either!
 
Ok ill get brave on an average 4 week month
diy livery for 3 £204
hard feed approx £50
blacksmith each time(6 weeks) £75 (fronts only &trim)
straw and haylege £35
supplements £40
shavings £12
wormers (6 weeks again) £21
insurance £45
i dont wanna add that up but i will
£482 thats not that bad for 3 i suppose!!
 
Well Ive Just Moved onto a shared yard and i pay 100 all in inclusive of feed worming, bedding hay and part care ( checking them on the days i dont) all extra i pay is competitions, farrier ( £15 every 8 weeks) and vaccinations & vet, insurance is 33.00 per month covering him and new trailer and new trailer costs 72.00 per month for 5yrs but is investment !!!

so average 210.00 including a brand new trailer !!!!!!!!!!!
 
I thought I'd give this a go, although I'm a bit scared at what it'll work out! O.k so based on 3 ponies (2 MGA ponies, one little sec a lead rein pony) So this is based over the summer as I have only just started to bring them in.

D.I.Y Livery £230 p/month (5 weeks)
Shoeing £130 p/month
Feed £30p/month
S'ments £30p/month
Hay £20p/month
Shavings £20p/month (for comps were I had to stable)
Wormers £10 (spread over the year)
Insurance £54 p/month
Entry fee's & diesel £300 p/month

OMG thats £824 and thats not including any extras such as tack, rugs. Yeah am wishing I hadnt done that, however I don't compete again unitil March/April time maybe I'll try and save the entry fees and diesel costs and see how much I get by then!
 
Humm, lets have a go - but it wont be completley accurate as h's sister's.

Livery -£80p/m (+ extra £20 for walker everday)
Feed - £20 - bag of mix, sugar beet, chaff, bute
Shavings - £4.00 p/bale x 4 = £16
Hay- £3.00 p/bale hay x 3p/w x 4 = £36 f
Shoes - £55 - every 6wks
Comp fees - depends how much she does, max £20 during winter
Hunting - £5 every time (PC rate)

= £242 - max per any month during winter.

Summer:
£80 for livery
lives on grass and handful of mix with bute.
Comp fees £40

£120 p/m - I LOVE summer!!

For one horse... (i don't think I"m going to like this)

DIY livery - 80 per month (includes use of indoor and outdoor school, big stable, access to jumps etc)
Straw - 36 per month
Haylage - 40 per month
Shoes - 40 per month (more if I have stud holes put in)
Insurance - 35 per month
Hard feed (including oil/salt etc) - 14 per month
Entry fees - 40 per month

285 in total - and this doesn't include wormers, bits and bobs, ebay impulse buys etc... OMG! And yep, I remember the days when DIY livery was like 30 pounds a month for a field...

Fortunately I work most of my shoes/livery/straw/haylage costs off at my yard and I also get to join in some lessons for free which helps to keep the costs down for me.
