Don't like the weak hind leg at all, and thats before I get to the front end!
Overall light of bone which is a shame. I'd want to see better pictures of front limbs, based on that photo I'd steer clear but it could so easily be an optical illusion.
If the front limbs aren't as bad as they first appear then yes I'd consider that horse at that price as a project, looks a useful type. It would also be left a further 6 months before doing any more work if it were mine.
Looks really nice to me. Well priced too. Looks to have plenty of bone for the type in the ridden picture.
I'd want to view it though. Surely its not THAT far to Sussex from Devon (few hours?). If you were in Scotland I'd understand.
I'd definately want to see it in person - I would absolutely not buy it unseen.
I'm sure you'll find just what you're after locally![]()
I actually like her very much.
Light of bone doesn't bother me but then i'm a lightweight rider. My old horse had little legs like spindles but she was tough as old boots. I remember hearing in my equine science lectures that the amount of bone in inches doesn't affect affect bone density.
I also think she is fairly cheap.
She looks like a pretty, classy, little mare
The only thing that would concern me is why has she not sold yet, thats all![]()
I like her...as others have said, ask for a clearer picture and go from there... if she`s what you want and as you said your not going to be high end competing so doesn`t need to be confo perfect..... I would get her vetted though![]()
It looks a tad grumpy to me!
15.2 rising 4, broken 8 weeks hacks alone/company been on a pub ride, works in an outline and pops a jump. bred in ireland is a bit of a mix including cob. nice temprement and very unflappable. any one care to comment on confo.. looks a bit like shes leaning forward in the piccie, and I think she may have a lot more filling out to do.
and price... what would you expect to pay.
