Commuting to work on your horse?!

My mum used to pick me up from play school and primary school on horseback, used to ride and lead. She didn't do it every day and it was always a surprise to see the pony at the school gates :D

I often used to 'pick up' my daughter on horses. Would go from the stables with a mate, ride two, lead one (5 miles), wait for her outside school, she loved it, showing off to her friends (different pony/horse each time!) We would go home, refresh ponies with a drink then hack back to the yard :)

A friend of mine had two ponies (hers and her brothers) and every year at the school fete she would bring them up to school for pony rides. I was always insanely jealous cause her pony was a gorgeous palomino secA that she really didn't give a crap about and wasn't interested, just had it because she had a stable! I offered to look after it and she said no lol witch.

I have ridden at Hyde Park and you have to ride on those sort of roads on the way there, the cavalry came out while we were riding too, its not uncommon to see that in London?
