Competing Alone - the answer???

Right, well I'm deffo at Eland Lodge on the Sunday with a first-timer baby (ballot and injury fairies allowing!) in the intro. Also at Belton on the Fri of that weekend in the Novice.

I'm fairly independent and manage on my own mostly, but do worry about the whole getting the horse/dog home thing if I'm carted off in an ambulance.

So happy to help others at the same event, probably won't need help myself, but could fall off and need someone to adopt my horse and dog until the medics have patched me up.

I event all over but usually Yorkshire, Lincs, Cheshire, North of England.

Scoopy, that's a wonderful offer, thank you so much. will have to brush-up my tea-making skills...

i don't compete very often due to having a youngster but love to get out and about. Anyone in my area needing a hand just let me know

I am happy to help where I can, just give me some warning and I can work my own horse around it where poss and where I am not competing myself (though waiting for the vet to come back this week, see my thread in vets section).....

Areas for me would be mainly Bucks/Berks!

I can turn a hand to most grooms jobs! Though leg ups are my weakness!!!

I am happy to help where and when i can.

I am in South Northumberland and can cover Northumberland, Durham, some of Cumbria, North Yorkshire and Tyneside.

I don't even need supplying with tea or coffee, i don't drink it!!
However i wouldn't say no to a bottle of water.

I can make good tea, and I can run around a lot, if need be. I don't know where you would need that, but it could come in handy!

OK me please! I'd be happy to help at the odd thing, but I'd be especially keen to have company when competing. I'm in Scotland, planning on doing BE for the first time in years, and hating the thought of even going evening show jumping alone!

Don't even need much horsey help, just someone to take charge when I'm a quivering wreck, collect all the stuff I have left in the car, and make me eat once in a while

Give me a shout if you need help re BE as I'll be going to most of the central belt ones with my band of merry men!

I can get to Milton Keynes, Keysoe and probably a few others quite easily. Would also be happy to turn up to pure sj. But forgot to add I am free weekdays but weekends harder as have teenage daughter who competes (but we don't event, mainly sj and tet).

Will look up BE events that I can do and then commit!

Hi everyone. I'm not often on the forum, but I've just seen this fantastic thread. I'm often on my own eventing and whilst I'm used to managing OK I do worry about the ambulance scenario. A bit of company would be nice too. Could I join your baby-sitting group?! I'd be happy to do my bit helping out too, but would prefer to team up with another competitor so we can watch out for each other whilst still competing.
