ok so this is going to be a complete rant and i know u lot probably dont really care but im writing it anyway!!!
so in total we own 7 horses of all shapes and sizes most of them are my mums and sisters all very nice horses thou (most of the time!) well mum and sister have gone on holiday to see my dad (he moved to abu dhabi) so ive been left at home to look after the herd
not much of an issue tbh like i said nice enough horses and 4 are currently living out so easy peasy.... yeah right!!!
they left on friday and within an hour of them leaving said sisters horses break the fencing which i attempt to repair with trusty bailing twine (where would we be without it!!) and pony broke his rug but refuses to be caught, so cant help him luckily he ripped the sursingle right off so rug is just a little broken! naughty little bugger!!
ok so fencing fixed for the night, i feed them all, bring the 3 remaining horses in (1 refuses to stay in a paddock past dark so must come in, the other is mine and is a woosey tb so i guess i moddy cuddle him slightly!! but hes all i have so i guess hes lucky, the other is his feild mate so easier to just bring it in!)
anyway weekend passes without many issues apart from we are running extremely low on hay
mum failed to leave any money and im skint atm so not a happy bunny about this but have enough to feed the 3 that are in so thinking ok i can handle this for 10 days all is good
WRONG!
went to work today and came home to utter carnage smashed fencing, ripped rugs, loose horses refusing to be caught! ahhhhhhhh
stupid silly ponies!!
finally caught the little blighters, returned them to said broken field and attempted to fix it (im not the best at handy work.... i am a woman after all) but i was rather proud of my efforts
not sure the horses were!!
so next issue is what do i do with them???????? they clearly wont stay put (not much grass) and we are low on hay so i bite the bullet and begged our hayledge man for an emergency delivery and gave him a sob story about how i have nothing to feed them (only slight exaggeration!!
) and im all alone with no money, could my mum pay him when she gets off her hols in a week?? thankfully hes a lovely man and agreed
so now tomorrow i have a hayledge delivery and i hope to christ the naughty little sods will stay put now with my wonderful make shift fencing at least long enough for me to get hayledge in the field!!
anyway so while they are enjoying their lovely holiday in 40+ degrees heat im stuck in the rain fixing fencing my pony hasnt even broken!!! remind me again why horses are fun to own???!!!!!
i did say it was a long rant..... my bad, i can share my last easter egg if anyone got this far
