Those of you that have these, it says online that they are supposed to have the arrow facing forwards but others have said they have them the other way round. They have the springy bit on one side of the tread at the start of the arrow which would be where the ball of your foot sits rather than under the toes so it makes sense for them to face forwards but now I'm confused!

I really don't think it makes much difference. There is a bit of movement in the tread section but they're not that technical.

I have these and was swapping stirrup leathers for beauuuuuutiful new t-bar ones today. You put them on so when they are hanging down the arrow is pointing into the horse.

Ah okay, so when your foot is in, the arrows are pointing forwards. That was the way I thought it should be but others have said differently. Thank you. Would be odd for the springy bit to be nearer the toe where there is less weight! Out of interest, what leathers did you get?

I have jeffries t-bar dressage leathers. They have a warning sticker on the packet that says they're suitable for dressage competition only and not for jumping or general riding. I haven't done a dressage test since my last crummy attempt at a prelim at least 20 years ago, I do fun rides and Endurance GB rides. I used to have a pair and did what I do in them (that only went wrong because one got lost during a crisis/ accident type thing, it didn't break). I'm super chuffed to get another pair, they're lovely :D but I'd better not recommend them since their own packet kind of cautions you against them (perhaps the shop put the sticker on, but even so 😬).

Ah, I've just had a look at them. Can't say I can even work out how they attach 😂
