Haven't done one in awhile .... and always like to hear differing views as its coming into the showing season . :)

I know her bad faults but would like to see how others view her ...... Her feet are being done on thursday :) She was 4 in march and is standing just over 16.2hh :)

Photo taken by my 9 year old son ;)

I'm not a judge, and dont have much showing experience, but given the fact that the photos were taken by a 9 year old(have one of them, know how they think),amd I've seen hours and hours of showing classes on tv, I thinkshe'd be a great "shower". She's in lovely condition. Best of luck, would love to hear how you get on. I amjealous that there is about 10 classes in the whole country of Ireland that you can show horses. Very jealous!!! Really hope you do well. Hopefully, next photo wil have a red rosette!!

Oooh she looks a really nice sort I like very much...is she broken yet or are the fun and games about to commence...the only thing I can see slightly out and it might be just the pic's as not standing square is she is a little flat in her rear fetlocks giving a long and low look!! but hasten to add this maybe due to farrier due and non square pictures...but I like very much does she have any face markings??

I am up in n.ireland ....there is actually quite a few shows that are suitable :) .... We are off to ballymena in 2 weeks time to do the 4 year old Lightweight hunter class . First showing class for her :)

No doubt there will be an update ;) :)

Thank you :)

Charliesarmy ....

She is indeed broken and riding quite well at the moment (I've jinxed myself already :o )
Shes an absolute tinker for standing square ..... Never likes to stand at peace so could be interesting in the conformation phase of the class :o :o .
No facial markings .... all bay :) ...Although you may see some cream on her face .... she has decided to give herself some little cuts :o . Numpty ! that she is .

Thanks :)

I think she is stunning. I'm no judge but I love her neck to wither connection and she's got such a nice head! Good luck!!

I love her. As a hunting person I think a good front is the most important bit of a horse (to land on in a crisis) and shes got plenty there to carry you over the banks! Beautiful mare, how is she bred?

I think she looks lovely, find it very difficult to find fault.

Only thing that occured to me was her hind leg conformation, her pasterns look a bit overly sloping but that could be the fact she is due the farrier. Her hocks could perhaps be a little more "let down".

Lovely picture though and should do well.

Gawd, Colleen, she is really the most lovely mare. And is going to give you hours of pleasure in the show ring!

Lucky, lucky you to have bred something so nice.

Thanks for that :)

She would probably look better if Col had put hind shoes on her back in March when I told her to [wanders off whistling casually to herself looking at the clouds]:p:p

Looking well though I have to say:D

But but but but ....She will kick the other precious horse .....after all missy is a bully out in the field;)

Yes Miss ...shoes going on now miss !

:p

In all seriousness ....I have been trying to get a farrier to come and do her for the past 2 weeks, one was to ring me back, one was to come out today and I have left a message with another . :(

J doesn't fancy a drive does he ? :p :D

I think she's lovely.... she's got a nice kind eye, and a nice big cheek, so should be a quick learner. Her neck is set on well, and she's got a nice deep chest. Her knees are good and flat, and well let down, and her pasterns match her shoulder for angle.

She's neither too short or too long in the back, she must be IDxTB with those withers?

Her gaskin looks a little weak at the moment, but as a 4yo thats hardly suprising. Once she's had some hill work that'll come. Her hocks could be a bit more let down, but they're not soo bad. I agree to some extent with what others have said about her hind pasterns, but I think she's built a little out behind her hips, so when she stands with her feet under her is makes her pasterns look long. (if you look at the second photo where her hind is out behind you'll see what I mean). My lad is built like this too, and it (apparently) comes from the draft part, (Clydies and Shires are the same), but shouldn't cause you any problems as such.

I think she's a right nice sort, and should do you proud!

Gosh she's grown, she is just lovely, I can't really find anything obvious, certainly well equipped for the ring :)

She's got a real nice old fashioned head on too :)

I daresay he would be more willing to shoe for you than he is for me! Had another farrier and his apprentice here yesterday, doing a couple of livery horses, and J stood there and intimidated the apprentice just for sport:rolleyes:

There is a definite improvement in Missy just in the last couple of weeks - looking good:)
