MrsMozart, I think you'll find Lancashire to be the county you are looking for. You'll get chased by Haggis in Aberdeenshire. I don't think the snow has cleared from January, yet. And There are no shops or electricity either.
Farrier issue apart...., any thoughts on its suitability for a family with two teenage girls, excessive number of dogs and horses?
We'd be buying a house with land, so hopefully livery issues won't be an issue
