... if (okay, so it's a big 'If'
cool.gif
) we could find a nice loan home for Little Lad, I'm contemplating getting a school master, around the 15.2hh mark, don't mind age, for me and child to share.

Daughter is almost as tall as me, and probably slightly less than half my weight. She's technically a better rider, whereas I am more experienced. She has a 13hh six year old cob that she wants to ODE with, and I have a 16.2-ish five year old Dutch Warmblood that I bought to BSJA.

Daughter refuses to sell cob, and I have to admit he's part of the family

. My girl is too much for daughter at the moment and certainly not experienced enough to help her.

Little Lad is too small for daughter, but she's light enough to ride him. She's decided to have a go at pony racing on him (eek!), to give him a purpose in life. Once he has a 'use' and people see him in action, I'm hoping someone will want him

.

The idea of getting one for me and child to share is to get round hubby's objections to keeping three neds

. Might be different once we have our own place

Sounds like a foil-proof plan in writing!

And I think LL will love pony racing

I went to watch one a little while ago and everyone knows each other etc, so it'd be a great place for him to go!

I'd sell the two ponies and get daughter a good schoolmaster that you could also ride. Daughter might not be happy at first but she will be when she gets a suitable horse to move on to, and the ponies could do their stuff for the next family.

As LL & D don't offer you and your daughter all you need ( as lovely as they both are) i would sell and get something to share, something that will suit you both, plenty out there, it would be the most sensible option imho

Thankies for the thoughts

No chance of daughter selling Little Cob, more chance of selling daughter

No chance of selling little g!t, sorry, I mean Little Lad

He's an acquired taste, that not many people light enough for him has acquired

. Hoping for a nice loan home so can keep an eye on him.

And not much chance of selling the Dizzy one given her pelvis and SLs issues. Maybe once she had some competition experience under her belt she might be of interest to the market, but unlikely for now. Still have to get her fit enough to find out if she can jump (need to do it before the end of the year - LOU claim).

Hm.

They certainly keep my brain occupied! lol

LL is indeed a cutie, hopefully enough to make someone look past the lami/mild sweetitch/leading in a chain/handstand bucks/trying to bob off, etc
grin.gif
He's easy to catch, box, load, shoe, vet, back, dentist
grin.gif
.

Hm. Did promise daughter a foal, but by the time foalie would be ready, daughter would be going to Uni.

I feel another Ho Hum coming on

getting another sounds like a good plan to me. then again it wouldn't be me paying!
grin.gif

Sounds like i may have to lose about 3 stone, and chop my legs off at the knees, and become Little Lad's new owner, he sounds like just my type
grin.gif

Already paying for three so no difference there, other than there would be something I could learn more on
cool.gif
. That's my angle for hubby any way lol.

So many tall people want LL! Why can't I find a shorter person for him?! He is so loving on the ground. He went through a stage of being reasonably good under saddle, but now he's getting quite fit he's becoming quite, um, bouncy. Daughter thinks 'tis funny! But, she's almost at the tying-her-feet-together-under-his-tummy stage

Daughter wants to hunt him this season... I shall be watching with my eyes tight shut
