Corralling a Shetland

One of my mini Shetlands can roll under that height another standard one can jump over. I use 3 lines second from bottom then middle and top. Only way for my little darlings!! Then make sure the energisers running because they know!!!

Only if on mains and the plastic posts are changed for wooden ones.... tried it as it comes (lent by a friend) my 2 took 1 night to practice re-enacting the great escape.......

They DO stay behind post and rail with 2 lines of tape fitted 1 above and 1 below the bottom rail:)
It could be worse imagine if Shetland’s had evolved claws.....

Try and keep these in!

Oh and the other thing the are partial to doing is tilting their heads so they can just grab the plastic post without a shock and pulling it up untill enough are out they can lay it down and walk over!! I have crib stop covered posts everywhere now. They really are devils to keep on strip grazing. 😣

Mine is behind 7 foot walls in his mini starvation pen at night, I'm very lucky to have an old fashioned walled garden area that has become his. No electric in the world will corral a shetland in my humble experience, they consider the short mini painful experience worth it.

That's a lot of grass, if you are giving that much there does not seem much point in trying to restrict space at all.
I have usually been able to keep them behind 4 strands with every other post being wood, keeping grass off fence, using string rather than tape and keeping it as tight as possible and making sure battery well charged all the time
