correct way to tie stock

Having a mental block. Which is the correct way to tie a stock for dressage, the cross over way, or do the knot and thread it over the top (sorry best way i can describe it)

Don't think it matters really - I do both according to how the knot ends up!

I can tie them both ways so that's not the problem, just not sure which way is the correct way for dressage

buy pre tied - soooo much less hassle. I have a pre tied velcro backed diamante show tie too.
