Cheapest feed to use purely for adding supplements. Not too fussy native who doesn’t need calories. Does need to taste of something. The straw type chaff is a step too far! Was thinking maybe hay replacer or grass nuts?
Speedibeet is obviously quicker and soaks to 5 x water, so it lasts ages.Id say grass nuts will last the longest
Unmollassed beet (long soak) will be the cheapest if you can be bothered

They're both sold by weight and you get 12.5 kg of the Fibre Fabulous or Grasstastic and 12kg of Just Grass so how they're packed shouldn't make a difference.I've found that the Dodson & Horrell Just Grass chop goes a long way, it's more tightly packed in the bag than the emerald green and so seems to last longer. If it's for more than a filler I still prefer the Emerald Green but for a filler I find Just Grass cheaper.

The one that is slightly misleading is the Dengie Meadow Grass with Herbs which is a 15kg bag but has small pellets in it so is heavier.
And actually fluffier could be good for a fatty.Yes and no - it depends if you feed by volume or weightthe just grass is lighter and fluffier than the emerald green so if you're just going by volume if fluffs up to a lot more, if you feed by weight then agreed, it would both be the same.

Having said that I have found a difference in Grasstastic, it tells you which field it comes from and they do differ some being fluffy, though they all seem to smell the same and are equally palatable.
That's the Grasstastic though and in this case, OP may be better with the Fibre Fabulous and I've not used that.
And speedibeet is a 15kg bag and long soak is often 20kgSpeedibeet is obviously quicker and soaks to 5 x water, so it lasts ages.
I always think of Grasstastic as being the standard grass chaff and the Fibre Fabulous as the special low cal one.
I've got a skinny tb so I'm always thinking about calories per £ and I have to stretch out the Agrobs musli which is his favourite but would bankrupt me if I fed just that
What make is the long soak? I use speedibeet but soak for 8 hours anyway so thinking i could save money...And speedibeet is a 15kg bag and long soak is often 20kg
Trident is the brand I use. They do two, Equibeet is unmolassed and Supabeet is the Molassed. What make is the long soak? I use speedibeet but soak for 8 hours anyway so thinking i could save money...
Thanks, will see if I can try it.Trident is the brand I use. They do two, Equibeet is unmolassed and Supabeet is the Molassed.
Must be more expensive here. Ive looked it up Speedibeet 20.95 trident long soak one is 16.95If it was just a couple of pounds, I could justify the convenience but Speedibeet is £18.65, long soak unmolassed is £8.99.
Just had a quick look in our local shop, speedibeet £18.90 15 kgs, trident sugar beet , doesn't say if molassed or not £14.20 25kgs,
It's probably molassed as last time I bought simple systems purabeet,£15.00 15kgs bag
