Too be fair - I'm not Cotswoldsport, my dear old dad does all the work .... I just have to test all products on my neddies!!

We are human (dad just pee'd someone off by accidently sending something second class when they paid for first), but we aim to please!

anyway i brought a breastplate from cotswold and it is really nice and delivery was very quick!

Its very hard - think of BETA I have to wander around the sweetie shop deciding what things the neddies need next!

However I do get nobbled for company accounts, tax returns and creating the auctions - yes all those typos are mine!!!

Are the products proper english leather? The prices seem rather too good to be true if they are! Ive got my eye on some new stirrup leathers and the leather girth

I bought a bit from them during the postal strikes and the service was excellent - fantastic communication all the way through and much apologising for something that wasn't their fault and way beyond their control - would certainly recommend them

forgot to say i also purchased some bits and bobs before i knew who CWS on here.

my fave purchase is still my leather padded head collar although the indestructible stirrup leathers are very good as well. oh and the only place in the uk that sells leather/chain curb chains for gag bits i found...

Ah my old favourite english leather story! No bridles are english leather if you mean from an English cow and tanned in england. The tanneries that are left generally produce only for car manufacturers and because of the 30 month rule, they still used imported hides.

Our leather is generally the same standard as Jefferies, so you could find better but you'd have to pay a lot more for it. We are cheap as we don't have retail premises and we are not buying through a wholesaler, plus we found that we had to discount to get the sales over the web as people (quite rightly) like to handle a bridle first if paying loads for it.

I think we are aiming to focus on bits in the future as they are so much easier to deal with on a mail order basis.

Btw the girths are lovely, but I don't like our stirrup leathers are they are heavy duty and I prefer thinner ones (they remind me of buffalo polo ones, and are practically unbreakable!)
