Could these be Sarcoids?

Obviously I will ask a vet when he is out in a week or so for vaccs but was just wondering if these look like the start of sarcoids?

They appeared a couple of weeks ago and seem to have grown slightly since then. Horse is 18 years old, had one sarcoid when I bought him 10 years ago but that was successfully banded and has been no problem since.

Looks more like insect bites or nettle rash type thing to me.

They do look like that. Maybe the horse has escaped being exposed to the virus until now.

That is exactly what my boy has, he got them young but they've stayed and there's been no changes, he's now 20.

Are they flat - i.e. just colour marks? If so, I'd suggest it's just a loss of pigmentation - my grey ID (who is 22) has developed them all around his mouth and eyes in the last year.

My 20yo has developed similar discs, so perhaps it is an age related thing.

It does look just like Pele's (linked thread) - best thing to do is see how they change over a couple of weeks. His didn't spread, but they did grow slightly, then started falling off.

Keep an eye, but don't worry too much
